Located 17 miles east of Santa Margarita in the once forgotten frontier town of Pozo, the historic Pozo Saloon has welcomed weary travelers since 1858. Surviving prohibition and more recently a pandemic, the Saloon has stood the test of time. Its original redwood Old-West facade and hitching posts remain beneath the very same cottonwood tree that was planted as a sapling over a century ago at its founding.
These days, the Pozo Saloon is known as a beloved Central Coast concert venue, having hosted live performances featuring music legends from Willie Nelson to Snoop Dogg. Dining, drinking, and entertainment will return in 2023.
